About SaveMedia
SaveMedia is a browser-based tool for previewing media links and saving permitted copies. You do not need to install a browser extension or create an account to use the downloader.
How to save a permitted copy
First check that both the rights holder and the hosting platform allow the download. Copy the public page URL, paste it into SaveMedia, and request a preview. Check the title and thumbnail before choosing a format. Save the file using the download control.
Choosing a format
MP4 is widely supported by phones and desktop players. Higher resolution usually means a larger file and a longer transfer. Some sources provide video and audio separately; preparing these formats can take extra time while the server combines the streams. SaveMedia cannot increase the original recording quality.
Finding your download
On a computer, check your browser’s Downloads list and Downloads folder. On a phone, the browser may offer a share sheet or save the file to Files. Available actions depend on the browser and media type.
When a link does not work
Check that the link opens publicly without signing in. Deleted posts, private accounts, regional restrictions, source rate limits, and platform changes can prevent a preview. DRM-protected content cannot be downloaded. Do not submit passwords, session cookies, or private access links.
Respect creators and platforms
Use official download or export features when available. Permission to view does not imply permission to download, redistribute, or use commercially. SaveMedia is independent and is not affiliated with the platforms shown on the homepage.
